Southbank Centre and partners ABTT, The Albany, ATG Entertainment, Factory International, Livewire Productions, National Theatre, The Production House, RNSS, Roundhouse and the Royal Albert Hall have teamed up with the industry’s training partner MUTI Live to deliver Technical Academy from October 20 to November 07 2025.
Join us for hands-on production training for people with little or no previous experience, taught by experienced technicians who do it for real.
Learn about the technical skills powering London’s live events and performances – from building stages, rigging lights and setting up drum kits, to designing sound, lighting and audio-visual effects. The Technical Academy is your chance to learn the basics, see how technicians work, and get ready for work in the industry.
“Technical Academy helped me massively - it opened the door to the whole industry, which I always wanted to work in, but had no clue how to make a first step in”
