Event producing with the prospect Building
Working alongside The Prospect Building, this programme is designed to give people interested in creating live events the practical tools, guidance and confidence to take their early steps with clarity.
Across the course, you’ll build a solid foundation in event producing while learning directly from professionals from the night-time economy and beyond who actively work in industry leading organisations. You’ll connect with peers at a similar stage, widen your network, take part in live gigs, and gain insight into how the industry really works.

Dates: Thurs 15th, Thurs 22nd Jan, Fri 23rd and Thurs 29th January,
Tues 3rd, Thurs 5th Feb, Tues 10th and Thurs 12th February 2026
Times: 10- 5 most days, 23rd Jan and 10th Feb late night finish
Duration: 1 day a week for 9 weeks, 10am to 5pm (with breaks)
Venue: Central Bristol, TBC
Full Fee: Free to the learner
Level: Level 3
The training will be mostly in person, with online support from your tutor and the MUTI team outside of this.
This is an unaccredited level 3 entry level course based on Skills England occupational standards, the aim is that you gain new skills, understanding of the sector and are supported into new work.
By completing this program you will be well-prepared for sustainable employment opportunities in the industry.

Aged 19 or over
Must have the right to work in the UK
Looking to work in the Bath/ Bristol area and meet residency requirements
With expert support and a hands-on approach, you will:
Understand the full lifecycle of an event, from the initial creative idea through to delivery on the day
Learn how to plan projects of different scales and formats
Get to grips with essential logistics, including licensing, policies, supply chains and working with suppliers
Shadow back stage and front of house professionals as they build, prepare, run and break down live music events.
Develop personal skills that make a real difference early on: time management, values-led decision-making and clear communication
Explore the basics of fundraising and discover where to look for opportunities for financial support
Build and manage event budgets with confidence
Learn how to gather feedback, evaluate your work and use it to keep improving
This is practical, supportive training designed to meet you where you are. It’s collaborative, hands-on and rooted in real-world producing — giving you the skills, awareness and confidence to grow your career with purpose and momentum.
You will need access to a computer and an internet connection to be able to access the course resources and attend the online sections of the course.
As this is a level 3 course, some relevant experience will be required and we’ll carry out an initial assessment of your learning style to tailor the course to your requirements.
