This fully funded Skills Bootcamp is tailored for people who want to start or are in the early stages of their career working on large scale outdoor events and festivals. Working with leading experts in the industry, it covers everything from programming, to on site production, to ticketing & budgeting.

Dates: Tues 13th Jan - 10th March 2026, every Tuesday, 1 day a week for 9 weeks
Times: 10am to 5pm (with breaks)
Venue: TBC, central Bristol
Full Fee: Free
Level: Level 3
The training will be mostly in person, with online support from your tutor and the MUTI team outside of this.
This is an unaccredited level 3 entry level course based on Skills England occupational standards, the aim is that you gain new skills, understanding of the sector and are supported into new work.
By completing this program you will be well-prepared for sustainable employment opportunities in the industry.

Must have the right to work in the UK
Looking to work in the Bath/Bristol area and meet residency requirements
OVERVIEW OF THE BOOTCAMP:
Explore the aims for festivals, their roles in society, and ways of evaluating event types.
Understand the role and responsibilities of producers and promoters throughout a project.
Introduction to Temporary Event Notices, Personal Licences, and Event Management Plans.
Event logistics, including venue selection, audience management, transportation, accommodation, catering, and ticketing.
Introduction to key industry software such as Festival Pro and Our Crew.
Understanding audiences and effective marketing plans.
Site management principles and the understanding of site plans.
Introduction to Artist Advancing & Artist Liaison.
Understand festival budgets.
Monitoring and feedback from audiences, clients, and colleagues.
The programme also includes modules on your personal development and wrap around guidance and advice on getting paid work after the training.
You will need access to a computer and an internet connection to be able to access the course resources and attend the online sections of the course. If accessing online learning is a barrier for you we can provide support.
As this is a level 3 course, a proven interest in the subjects will be required and we’ll carry out an initial assessment of your learning style to tailor the course to your requirements.
